Meet Sierra
Sierra Dawn is a dedicated and experienced registered yoga teacher whose passion for yoga extends far beyond the physical practice. With a mission to help others discover freedom, balance, and joy through mindful movement, Sierra brings authenticity and warmth to every class she leads.
Sierra's journey with yoga began in 2015 during her high school years. Seeking a path to self-discovery and inner peace amid life's challenges, she found yoga to be a transformative practice that enhanced not only her physical wellbeing but also her mental clarity and emotional resilience. Through consistent practice, she discovered yoga's power to cultivate lasting happiness and overall wellness.
Through years of dedicated practice and teaching, Sierra has developed a unique approach that honors both traditional yogic principles and modern wellness needs. This vision inspired the creation of Sierra Dawn Yoga, offering accessible and meaningful yoga experiences for practitioners of all levels.
Sierra's extensive teaching background includes serving as the head yoga instructor at The Breakers, a prestigious Michelin star resort in Palm Beach. Her diverse experience spans multiple yoga studios, one-on-one private clients, and work in rehabilitation centers, giving her unique insight into adapting yoga for various needs and abilities. She offers a comprehensive range of practices including Hatha yoga, Vinyasa yoga, Pilates, Restorative, Yin, and Yoga Nidra.
As a yoga instructor, Sierra's primary goal is to guide individuals to meet themselves on the mat without judgment. She believes in the power of the breath and mindful movement to help her students tune into their bodies, fostering a deeper connection with oneself and the world. With over a decade of personal practice and years of teaching diverse students, Sierra Dawn Yoga is the culmination of Sierra's journey.
Sierra's teaching style is a harmonious blend of creativity and challenge, inviting her students to explore their boundaries while approaching their practice with compassion. Her classes not only build physical strength but also provide a deep sense of welcome and inner confidence.
Sierra often returns to the line from The Bhagavad Gita: “Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.” It’s a reminder of what yoga means to her—a way to reconnect, grow, and come home to yourself. She shares this perspective in her classes, helping others find their own version of that journey.
